When ordering a plankton net, there are a few things to consider, one of which is the codend. We have 2 standard sizes with custom designs to choose from. We have our small codend which works best for small nets under 150 cm long and our larger codend which works with all nets over 150 cm.
Both options are available in regulation or with additional ballast. If you plan to use your net for horizontal towing, regular codends are ideal. If you plan to use your nets for oblique or vertical towing, we recommend adding ballast to help the codend stay lower than the net during our towing operation.
