When ordering a plankton net, there are a few things to consider, one of which is the cod end bucket. We have 2 standard sizes, with custom models available. Our small bucket works best for small nets under 150 cm long, and our larger bucket works with all nets over 150 cm.
Both options are available in a standard version or with extra weight. If you plan to use your net for horizontal tows, the regular buckets are perfect. If you plan to use your nets for oblique or vertical tows, we recommend adding weight to help the bucket stay lower than the net during your tow.
